AN IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM VEOLIA - To provide our customers with improved water quality and service reliability, Veolia will be cleaning and painting the Northeast Water Storage Tank, located at the end of Anderson Road in Alpine. The work will begin in early January 2026 and is expected to take approximately four months to complete.

This tank provides storage for the distribution of drinking water. Alpine Painting & Sandblasting, a family-owned and operated contractor with many years of experience in the tank maintenance industry, will conduct the work. They performed this same work on the tank about 25 years ago and are very familiar with this site. The local fire department has been informed this project. No water pressure variations are anticipated for customers while the tank rehabilitation job is in progress.

We are taking steps to minimize the impact on the community during the tank painting. However, residents in the immediate vicinity will experience periodic noise associated with the equipment required for this project. The contractor’s hours are weekdays from 6:00 am – 10:00 pm, with the noisier work to be done 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.

All equipment will be positioned on the side of the site adjacent to Palisades Interstate Park, away from nearby homes, to minimize noise. While some equipment must operate after hours, it is not expected to create any noticeable disturbance. Additional equipment will remain stored on-site for the duration of the project, and all worker vehicles will also be parked within the site.
